How will vehicle scrappage policy help manufacturers? Nitin Gadkari explains
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today in Budget 2021 announced a vehicle scrappage policy. Vehicles would undergo fitness tests after 20 years in case of personal vehicles and after 15 years for commercial vehicles, said FM Sitharaman. Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, in an exclusive conversation with ET NOW's Ruchi Bhatia, said that due to scrappage policy, cost of companies will go down for OEMs.
