Rupee falls 7 paise against USD

Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday declined seven paise to 73.02 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that moved up by nine paise to 72.86 in the opening trade, erased earlier gains and ended weak at 73.02, sliding by seven paise as compared to its previous close.
The domestic unit eased owing to strong dollar against other world currencies amid positive equity market, broker said.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.06 and 72.83 respectively, he added.
