Peru fixed internet speed rises 20% to 47.5 Mbps

Peru has experienced a continuous growth in average fixed and mobile internet speeds throughout 2020, according to Ookla figures published by the country's telecommunications regulator Osiptel. Average fixed download speeds rose 19.6 percent in 2020 to reach 47.5 Mbps by the end of the year, placing the country in sixth position in Latin America as a whole, while upload speeds surged from 7.7 Mbps to an average of 21.0 Mbps in December 2020.
