Tamilisai visits Marudhamalai

Coimbatore: Telangana governor Tamilisai Sounderajajan said that she would take the vaccine against Covid as an ordinary citizen after all the frontline workers were vaccinated.
Tamilisai Sounderarajan, who was in the city to participate in a book release function on Sunday, said that if she was a practicing doctor, she would have taken the vaccine shots. Since she was not practicing, she chose not to take the shots when the current round of vaccination was meant for frontline workers.
β€œIt is a gift to frontline workers as a mark of gratitude for their service in the battle against Covid,’’ she said. Lauding the scientists for coming up with the vaccine, Tamilisai said that it was a proud moment as the vaccine manufactured in India was being sent to various countries.
Tamilisai visited Marudhamalai Murugan temple and offered prayers earlier in the day, where she thanked chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for declaring holiday for Thai Poosam.
