For extra support during its busiest season, Lowe's plans to hire more than 50,000 front-line workers this spring. Currently, the retailer is filling seasonal, part-time, and full-time roles at its stores across the country.

"As we approach spring, I am enormously proud of the way our associates have served customers and supported each other this past year through an unprecedented health crisis," Lowe's president and CEO Marvin R. Ellison said in a news release. "We are honored to be an essential business to help our customers keep their homes safe and functional during these very challenging times. We're pleased to provide this additional bonus to support our current associates and excited to welcome these new associates so we can better serve customers across the country."

The seasonal roles include retail associates and stockers and receivers. Retail associates' main responsibilities are to help customers, whether on the sales floor or at checkout. Plus, if you love plants, you can apply to positions that have a focus on plant services. Plant services employees mainly help out with the garden center. Stockers and receivers work early mornings, evening, and overnight, unloading merchandise from freight and moving it to the sales floor and stocking departments. If you land a seasonal role, it can lead to a permanent job. Lowe's says that nearly 200 of its store managers actually started their careers as seasonal employees.

So what kind of qualities is Lowe's looking for in its candidates? The retailer wants to hire workers who are collaborative, focused on the customer, and results-oriented. If you're interested in applying for a seasonal role, you can learn more about the available positions at Lowe's.
