Budget 2021: Lakhs of individual taxpayers were left disappointed as Union Finance Minister did not announce any change in income tax slabs for them in the much-awaited Union Budget 2021. Last year, in her Budget speech, Sitharaman had introduced a new income tax regime under which the rate was reduced. However, the slashed rates were applicable only for those who would forego their exemptions.
