Colombia's Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) has declared Claro (America Movil) to be a dominant player in the local mobile services market, resulting in increased monitoring for the operator, which has around 32 million customers, almost as many its four MNO competitors combined. According to a report in business daily Portafolio, the CRC has refrained from imposing any specific penalties or conditions at this stage and given Claro ten days from notification of the decision to lodge an appeal.
