Cyta launches 5G network

Cypriot operator Cytamobile-Vodafone announced the operation of the first 5G network in Cyprus. The network supports high speeds of up to 1Gbps for 70 percent of the population to start and is expected to reach 98 percent in around 12 months, the company said. The 5G network can be accessed by all Cytamobile-Vodafone subscribers, individuals and companies at no extra charge. Subscribers need to have a 5G device certified on the Cyta network and to be in an area with 5G coverage.
