Desi PUBG rival FAU-G launched for Android smartphone users
FAU-G, aka Fearless and United Guards, is now live on Google Play Store. The desi alternative to PUBG Mobile has been developed by Bengaluru-based nCore Games. The registrations for the game started in December 2020 and is now available for free to download on Play Store.
Airtel announces 5G ready network
Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has showcased LIVE 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Airtel operated 5G and 4G concurrently within the same spectrum block using dynamic spectrum sharing.
Apple hits all-time record revenue of $111.4 billion
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple, as per its quarterly results published recently, has posted all-time record revenue of $111.4 billion, which is up 21% year-over-year. This is the first time Apple has broken the $100-billion revenue barrier in a quarter. The growth was driven by Apple’s most popular product- iPhone.
Xiaomi launches ‘Air Charge’ remote charging technology
Xiaomi has unveiled a remote charging solution called Mi Air Charge. The technology will enable users to charge their devices over-the-air over a range of up to 4cm. It charges devices without using any cables or wireless charging stands.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei launches a new technology company
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has started a new consumer technology company called Nothing. Based in London, the startup is said to focus on audio technology. Pei has raised undisclosed funding from CRED founder Kunal Shah and $7 million round of seed financing in December 2020.
Apple rolls out iOS 14.4 for iPhone and iPad users
Apple has released a new software update for iPhones and iPad users that brings the operating system to iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 versions. The iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 are available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).
Xiaomi announces price cut of up to Rs 5,000 for Mi 10 and Mi 10T
Xiaomi has announced a price cut for two of its Mi 10 series phones- Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10T. After the price cut, Xiaomi Mi 10 now costs Rs 44,999 for the 8GB+128GB model. Xiaomi Mi 10T, on the other hand, will cost Rs 32,999 onwards.
Airtel adds more subscribers than Reliance Jio: Trai
Airtel added more mobile phone users than market leader Reliance Jio Infocomm for the fourth straight month in November 2020. As per the latest TRAI data, Airtel gained 4.37 million wireless subscribers against Jio’s 1.93 million, while struggling Vi lost 2.89 million users in November.
