Expelled AIADMK leader and late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa’s aide VK Sasikala has been discharged from Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru following her treatment for Covid-19. Sasikala was released from prison after four years earlier this week. However, Sasikala tested positive for Covid-19.
Upon being discharged from the Bengaluru hospital, Sasikala rode a vehicle bearing an AIADMK flag, which is being seen as a big statement ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly election.

Meanwhile, in its latest bulletin on Sasikala’s health, the Bengaluru hospital has said the tainted AIADMK leader continues to remain asymptomatic of Covid-19 and is recovering well. Sasikala’s health has been stable over the past few days.
Upon her release from hospital, Sasikala will stay in Bengaluru for a few more days before making the return to Chennai. Sasikala is expected to return to Chennai on February 8.
