Rakesh Tikait, national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, on Saturday asked the central government to tell the farmers themselves why they do not want to withdraw the agricultural laws. He further said that we promise that the government's head will not let the world bow down.

Amid growing vigor in the tractor parade following the weakening of the farmer movement, Tikait told the government that what is the compulsion of the government that it is adamant on not repealing the new agricultural laws?

He said that the government can convey its point to the farmers. We (farmers) are people who believe in Panchayati Raj. We will never let the head of the government bow before the world in shame.

Tikait said that our ideology is fighting with the government and this fight cannot be fought with sticks/batons, guns nor can it be suppressed by them. Farmers will return home only when new laws are withdrawn.

This is a fight between the turban of the farmer and the bread of the poor: Tikait

Earlier, remembering Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Non-Violence on the death anniversary, Mahatma Gandhi, the national spokesperson of BKIU, said at UP Gate that the movement was peaceful and will continue with peace and non-violence even further. There was no disturbance in the peasant movement in 66 days.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also indicated that there will be a dialogue again and a solution will come out of that. If the negotiation was not agreed upon, it does not mean that the law should be compelled. It is a fight for the turban of the farmers and the bread of the poor.

If someone puts his hand on the turban of the farmers, it will not be tolerated. In the meantime, he roamed around the stage and the movement site and interacted with the farmers. Rakesh Tikait said that people are also bringing water to support the movement, it is their feelings.

We had asked for flags earlier too, so we got two lakh flags. Life is related to water, we have 70 percent water in our body, so water is as much needed in the movement as food is given to people. People are bringing water. Now he will not let this movement break.

Regarding the strictness of the police force on the night of 28 January, he said that I had seen a violation of the constitution. This movement is a fight for the turban of the farmers and the bread of the poor. If someone puts his hand on a turban, it will not be tolerated. Rakesh Tikait again reiterated that the solution will be found only through dialogue, even if the government talks only after one and a half years.
