CPI leader Raja hospitalised

Raja came to Hyderabad to participate in the three-day meeting of the party’s national committee which commenced on Friday.

Hyderabad: CPI national general secretary D Raja took ill while participating in the party’s national executive committee meeting in Hyderabad on Saturday. He was shifted to a private hospital for treatment and his condition is stable.

Raja came to Hyderabad to participate in the three-day meeting of the party’s national committee which commenced on Friday. Several top leaders from various States are attending the meeting at Makhdoom Bhavan. During the meeting, Raja complained of uneasiness and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors said there was a dip in sugar levels of the CPI senior leader, and that his condition was stable now.

Meanwhile, MLC K Kavitha visited Raja at the hospital on Sunday morning and inquired about his health condition. CPI national secretary Narayana and CPI state secretary Chada Venkata Reddy accompanied her.
