Boiler burst at factory in Ambala's Mandour village, two workers injured

The incident caused cracks in some houses nearby.
AMBALA: A boiler burst at Jindal Prep Foam factory in Mandour village of Ambala district at about 2pm on Saturday, creating a blast like sound and panicking the people residing nearby.
The incident caused cracks in some houses nearby. The factory produces mattresses.
On receiving the information, police reached the spot and rushed two injured workers to the hospital.
The residents demanded from administration to keep a check on the industries established in Mandour village area as a major fire incident had also taken place here last year.
Some residents said, “The administration should check the industries for safety of the residents and whether the norms are being followed or not. The sound of the boiler burst was so strong that it sounded like a blast and some houses have developed cracks.”
Panjokhra police station house officer (SHO) sub-inspector Mohan Lal said, “A boiler burst in Jindal Prep Foam factory at Mandour village. Two labourers received minor injuries and they are out of danger. We have not received any complaints in this regard.”
