Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after serious Sunshine Coast crash
A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition after a Sunshine Coast crash on Saturday morning.
Paramedics, including critical care teams, were called to the scene on Peachester Road, Peachester, just before 10am after reports of the crash, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
Two patients, both men, were assessed at the scene, with the motorcycle rider suffering leg, arm and abdominal injuries after colliding with a car, the spokeswoman said. The driver of the vehicle did not appear to be injured.
The rescue helicopter was called to help police, who closed the road at the intersection with Walkers Road, about 5 kilometres west of Beerwah, until 12.30pm.
The motorcycle rider was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
