The Bulls were crowned Currie Cup champions on Saturday after they won a pulsating final 26-19 in extra time against the Sharks in Pretoria.

In a match that had it all including a suspension in play due to lightning, a try in the final minute of extra time by replacement Arno Botha helped Jake White's men secure their first Currie Cup since 2009.

It also gave them a unique double after the men from Pretoria also won the Super Rugby Unlocked tournament that preceded the Currie Cup.

The Bulls bench were ecstatic with Botha's effort after he forced his way over close to the line following 19 phases of play.
