Children easily bypass social media age verification by lying - Lero

Children of all ages can get around age verification systems to sign up for popular social media apps including Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger, Skype and Discord by lying about their age, according to a new study from Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software.
