Skyworks Solutions reported another quarter of stronger-than-expected results for its fiscal first quarter to 1 January, with record numbers driven by demand across a growing set of customers and end markets. The company noted that a multi-year wireless transition had started, creating new opportunities for different use cases, from 5G mobile platforms to IoT, wireless infrastructure, autonomous transport and machine-to-machine installations, and that the company was "uniquely positioned to lead."
