Farmers have been agitating in the capital of the country for the last two months regarding new agricultural laws. The opposition has been an attacker on the government since the passage of agricultural laws. The opposition has made its preparations to surround the central government in the budget session starting from 29 January. In the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, a long list of questions was prepared by the opposition on the new agricultural law, China, and the economy falling in the Corona crisis, which the Modi government will have to answer. On Thursday, a day before the budget session begins, the major opposition leaders will meet through video conference to form a joint strategy to surround the government.

On the very first day of the budget session, all opposition parties including Congress, Left parties, Trinamool Congress, DMK, Rajedi, Shiv Sena, Aam Aadmi Party, and Nationalist Congress Party are preparing to jointly protest. A leader of the opposition has also suggested a boycott of President Ram Nath Kovind's speech. However, it has not been decided yet whether the opposition will boycott the President's speech.

The session of Parliament will begin on Friday i.e. January 29. The Union Budget will be presented on 1 February. This budget is not going to be easy for the government surrounded by the economy, but the biggest problem is the ongoing struggle between farmers and the government and the Indo-China border on new agricultural laws. The biggest challenge of the government in the budget session is to improve the economy amid the Kovid crisis.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi is in touch with CPIM chief Sitaram Yechury and some other opposition leaders. Meanwhile, in a letter to Nikhil Dey of Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS), Sonia Gandhi has promised that when there is a peasant movement in Parliament, the Congress will raise the first issue. Opposition parties will demand the repeal of the three controversial agricultural laws. Opposition leaders claimed that non-BJP parties would remain united in this session. Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien said that our meetings are yet to come, but our action plan is ready. Yechury said that the issue of farmers will be a common ground for all opposition parties. We will also demand a debate on the economic situation and the Indo-China border tension.
