KEC International reported 7.03% growth in total revenues for the Dec-20 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs3,289.23cr. KEC is basically involved in EPC contracts for the infrastructure space with focus on power. Since power investments have been tepid in the last few quarters, the growth has been missing. COVID has also had an impact on projects.
The consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for the Dec-20 quarter was almost flat at Rs145.07cr on despite the higher revenue level as the sharp spike in sub-contracting costs more than offset the benefit to the company from lower material prices. PAT margins consequently contracted from 4.72% in Dec-19 to 4.41% in Dec-20.
