Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will soon announce the honorarium for unemployed youth in the State, bringing the much needed relief for them.
“The Chief Minister is expected to announce the honorarium in a day or two,” TRS working president and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao said on Thursday.
Addressing electricity employees at a meeting at Telangana Bhavan here, he said that after State formation, as many as 36,000 unemployed persons were recruited through Telangana Public Service Commission.
“This apart, 46,000 posts in various government departments were filled and in all, 1.31 lakh people were recruited after TRS government came to power. The Chief Minister has already announced that a notification for over 50,000 posts would be issued,” the Minister pointed out.
In the private sector, 14,000 companies were accorded permission through TS-iPass that generated 14.50 lakh job opportunities for the youth in the State, he said, adding that investments worth over Rs.2.5 lakh crore was attracted through these companies.
Explaining in detail the power situation in the State, Rama Rao said there was no power problem in Telangana prior to State formation. “We have reached a stage now where we can now proudly say that there is no power problem in the State and in future, there will be no such problem for our children,” he said.
