Assam Govt announces grant to journalists

Guwahati, Jan 28 (UNI) The Assam government today announced one time grant to 20 journalists of the state to help them pursuit professional excellence.

The grant of Rs 50,000 each from the Department of Information & Public Relations has been given to journalists working in this field for more than 15 years.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will ceremonially distribute the one time grant to thr selected journalists on February 6 at a function here, an official statement said.
