Tanzanian govt warns telcos over disclosure of clients' information

The Tanzanian government has warned telecommunication companies against illegal disclosure of customer information to third parties, reports The Citizen. Communication and Information Technology minister Fastine Ndugulile said that he was unhappy with the tendency of some telecom firms' employees to divulge clients' information to third parties illegally. He said he would personally supervise the subject matter, warning that the government will take stern measures against telecommunication firms that violate this law.
