Crown Castle passes expectations for 2020 after stronger Q4, new contract from Verizon

Crown Castle reported better-than-expected results for the full-year, boosted by tower revenue growth in the US which pushed up AFFO per share. CEO Jay Brown expects this growth trend to continue this year, with a 6 percent increase in organic contribution to site rental revenue for its towers segment. This will support the previously announced 11 percent dividend increase. The company finished the year with about 50,000 small cells on air and upped its backlog of small cells committed or under construction to 30,000, boosted by a new 5G small cell agreement with Verizon.
