2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS India Launch Highlights: The new 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS is lighter than the previous model by 10 kg and now tips the scale at 198 kg.

The all-new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS recently made its global debut and has now been launched in India. The 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS is the British manufacturer’s most powerful and advanced Speed Triple yet. It now boasts a bigger engine, more power, and refreshed design and styling as well. It also has a comprehensive electronics package, including features cornering ABS, front-wheel lift control, traction control among many others. The motorcycle comes with five riding modes, all-LED lighting, a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and several other features. Scroll down for all details.

    2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS overview

    The 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS is powered by a 1160cc liquid-cooled 12-valve DOHC inline-three-cylinder engine that puts out 177.5 bhp and 125 Nm. It gets five riding modes, LED lighting, a TFT instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, rider aids like cornering ABS, traction control, etc. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 16.95 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India).     Bluetooth connectivity

    The new Speed Triple 1200 RS will have a colour TFT screen for the instrument cluster which also features Bluetooth connectivity which means the rider can connect their smartphone to their motorcycle and receive notifications on the go.

    The new Speed Triple 1200 RS comes with Ohlins 43 mm NIX30 upside-down forks with adjustable preload, rebound and compression damping, 120 mm travel upfront. Over at the rear, it has Öhlins TTX36 twin tube monoshock with preload, rebound and compression damping, 120 mm wheel travel.

    The 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS has a new frame - an aluminium twin-spar frame, bolt-on aluminium rear subframe. It gets an aluminium single-sided swingarm. The wheels are cast aluminium 17x3.50 in (front) & 17x6.00 in (rear).

    The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission with a wet, multi-plate, slip clutch. The exhaust has stainless steel 3 into 1 header system with an underslung primary silencer and side-mounted secondary silencer.
