Dilip: Let Didi hold farmers’ rally in Kol

Jhargram: Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh took on CM Mamata Banerjee over her support to the farmer agitation in Delhi, saying that her government was denying benefits to farmers of the state. Ghosh dared her to hold a farmers’ rally in Kolkata.
“Mamata Banerjee is opposing the farm laws when her government is denying benefits to Bengal farmers. The government run by the chal chor party isn’t buying paddy from farmers at MSPrates. The party is instead spending the money to get people in Trinamool rallies,” Ghosh said in Jhargram on Wednesday.
He said: “Let her hold a farmer rally in Kolkata. If there are 10,000 farmers in the rally, we will respond with a 50,000-strong rally in Kolkata the next day.”
Ghosh and party colleague Suvendu Adhikari appealed to voters to defeat Trinamool by a margin of 50,000 votes in each of the four assembly seats in Jhargram. “Bengal has not seen democracy for the last 45 years. Give us a chance. We hail from farmers’ family. BJP brass has given us the responsibility to bring about parivartan in Bengal. The Hills, foothills and Jangalmahal have sent out the message that BJP is coming to power,” Ghosh further said.
Suvendu vowed to defeat “Trinamool pvt ltd company” in Jangalmahal. He accused Trinamool of taking Rs 20,000 “cut money” from each beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana. “People in Jangalmahal are waiting for the 2021 assembly poll to give a rebuff to Trinamool,” Suvendu said.
