GURUGRAM: Around 30,000 people are scheduled to get inoculated in the second phase of the vaccine drive, which is likely to be held in February.
Frontline workers such as police personnel, revenue department employees, municipal workers, civil defence teams and Armymen will get jabs in this phase.
All these departments will have to prepare a list of recipients and upload them on the
Co-WIN app before the next phase starts. “We have received a list from the revenue department. The list contains names of around 500 recipients and it would have to be uploaded on the Co-WIN app. We will not upload data for other departments. They will have to do it themselves,” said chief medical officer Virender Yadav.
The first phase of the
Covid vaccine drive is concentrating on healthcare workers and has a target of inoculating 37,000 of them. However, the health department said it needed to revise the target as the app was found to have a number of duplicate entries. It has been also found that a number of recipients are no longer associated with the healthcare sector and their names need to be struck off the list. “
