Brazilian regulator receives 32% more fixed broadband complaints in 2020

Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) received 2.96 million complaints in 2020, down by 0.5 percent from 2019. However, complaints regarding fixed broadband service grew 31.6 percent year-on-year to 764,000 and became the most complained-about service in proportion to the number of lines for the first time. The main subjects of complaint were quality and operation, with Claro receiving the most complaints, followed by small providers.
