HYDERABAD: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said that the place of worship being built in Ayodhya should not be called a Masjid.
According to religious scholars, the place of worship which is being built in Ayodhya should not be called a Masjid and praying there as well as donating money for the structure is considered to be Haram.
"To the people who are taking money by accepting the five acre allotted for Masjid , I asked religious scholars and members of All India Muslim Personnel Law Board (AIMPLB) too, all of them said that Namaz can not be offered in that Masjid," said Owaisi while speaking in Bidar.
"Offering Namaz at that place or giving donations to build a structure in the five acre land granted after Babri Masjid was Shaheed is Harma and wrong," said Hyderabad MP.
