SPM's cultural extravaganza goes online
Virtual annual concert of SPM english School held

PUNE: The annual school concert always holds a special place in the hearts of school children. Principal of S.P.M. English School (secondary), Veena Meshram, took the initiative and decided to have a virtual gathering, a statyeemnt issued by teh school said. The staff, parents and students welcomed this creative platform as it kindled the spirit of togetherness and definitely opened doors to discover new talent and innovative ways to present this cultural extravaganza of classes 5 to 10 online.
Tiny Tots ofclasses 5 and 6 stole the hearts of everyone. The performances included dances, solo singing, monoact , tabla recitals, a hilarious news bulletin and an intriguing display of various characters such as Harry Potter, writer Sudha Murthy, cricketer Sourav Ganguly among others.
The second day saw enthusiastic performances of classes 7 and 8 ranging from dances to group singing. The highlight of their gathering was portrayal of literary characters - Sherlock Holmes, Alice in Wonderland and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter in 'The Forgotten World' through a fascinating dialogue narrative. 'Pulakit', a Marathi play, captivated the audience.
Meshram in her report gave a bird's eyeview of school activities, our online classes, the various competitive exams that students have excelled in, along with the outstanding result of std. X, Batch 2019 - 2020, S.S.C. Board examinations. New activities included in the academic year are Web Designing, Foreign Languages - French, Spanish and Japanese as vocational courses.
