During the day, Gokul Agro Resources ( 20 per cent) , Morarka Finance ( 19.97 per cent) , Aarnav Fashions ( 19.93 per cent) , Rane (Madras) ( 14.12 per cent) , SK International ( 13.28 per cent) , Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospitals ( 13.06 per cent) , IFB Agro ( 12.63 per cent) , Patel Engg ( 11.70 per cent) , Cyient ( 11.28 per cent) and Bilcare ( 9.95 per cent) rallied over 10 per cent.
The 30-share Sensex closed 937.66 points down at 47409.93 on Wednesday, while the 50-share Nifty index settled 271.4 points down at 13967.5.
In the Nifty 50 index, 10 stocks ended the day in green, while 40 stocks settled the day in red.
Stocks such as Cyient , Route Mobile, P&G Health, IFB Industries, Bajaj Auto, India Grid Trust, CenturyPly, Alkem Lab, TVS Motor and UPL hit their fresh 52-week high in today's trade.
However, Fairchem Organics, Jiya Eco-Products, Jump Networks, Valiant Organics and Vishal Fabrics touched their new 52-week low in trade.
