Manipur: Schools reopen after 10 months

The Manipur Government has finally reopened schools after a gap of nearly ten months due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic. This comes after the Directorate of Education (S) of the Manipur government on 15th January issued an order to re-open schools for Classes 9-12. All schools will have to follow Covid-19 safety guidelines issued by the state government. Months after attending online classes, students in Tamphasana Girls Higher Secondary School say they are happy to be back to school. Students were seen attending the classes with a face masks while maintaining social distancing norms. As per the new guidelines, only one student will be allowed to sit on each bench. As per the school authorities, the students have presented their consent certificate from guardians/ parents before attending their classes.
