Gopinath Nair41 minutes ago It is true that the US and India are the two largest economies in the world. Further in view of the ongoing friendly relationship between the US and India political goodwill between the two countries should be strengthened. Accordingly The wishing of India on its Republic Day convinces us that the change of guard in the US will not have any adverse policy impact between the two countries. The US has already relaxed its immigration policy to woo back IT professionals from India by ensuring that their families are accommodated in the immigration process. It will also introduce cultural unity and secularism. Further another necessity is to contain a growing power as China which is gradually asserting itself to gain suzerainty over the South and East China sea as also entry into the Indian ocean for which the affirmation of mutual amity is essential. Its ties with Japan, India and Australia for joint military exercises is another positive step resulting from such diplomacy. Thus the congratulatory message has not only mutual but also a political impact. | |
