Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (UNI) Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik wished happy Republic Day to all on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day today.
Taking to his twitter page the Governor said, ‘ Let us realise the vision of our constitution
makers & freedom fighters and promote to strive for justice , liberty, freedom & equal rights
for every Indian and for peace & unity among us all.’
In a message wishing happy Republic Day to all people of the state, Mr Patnaik paid his
tribute to freedom fighters and those who have laid down their lives for the unity and
security of the country.
Chief Minister said India is comprising of many languages, religions caste and faith.This
diversity is our strength and has enriched our culture and society. Stating that all should
work for the preservation of the diversity and for a consensus on national issues to make
our democracy more vibrant and stronger.
He said Odisha has carved out a niche for itself in the development map of the country.
The state has made visible progress in important economic sectors like agriculture,
industry and infrastructure development.
The chief minister said agriculture production has increased, new investment has come
and development of infrastructure has created opportunities for a vibrant economy.
Mr Patnaik said Odisha has created a new place for itself in launching welfare schemes
for the people. Beginning from food security to social security the programmes has brought
smile in the face of the people.
He said Odisha has successfully fought and controlled Corona virus in the state and
congratulated the Covid warriors for the achievement. Though vaccine for Covid has come
he requested all to observe all norms of the Covid guidelines.
The Chief Minister said Odisha is marching ahead with a commitment to create a
prosperous and empowered state and sought the cooperation and blessings of the
people to achieve the goal.
He said ‘let us reaffirm our pledge to uphold the ideals enshrined in our constitution
on this Republic Day and work for a strong Odisha.’
