Kerala government doctors to boycott work on January 29

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Protesting alleged anomalies in pay revision, doctors of government medical college hospitals in the state have launched an agitation.
Protest marches and dharna organised by the Kerala Government Medical College Teacher’s Association (KGMCTA) were held at medical college hospitals on Monday. KGMCTA president Dr S Binoy said that the government had promised to pay arrears from 2016 when pay revision was implemented.
"However, the government has not provided it and was silent about it in the budget also.Since we were given a raw deal, we are forced to launch an agitation," said Dr Binoy.
