Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal unfurled the National flag

Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (UNI) Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal unfurled the National flag

at a state level function organised at the Mahatma Gandhi Road in the heart of the capital

city to celebrate the 72nd Republic Day today.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was present at the function.

Due to Covid Pandemic this time the Republic Day celebration was observed in a low

key. Students of schools and colleges and voluntary organisations were not allowed to

participate in the parade.

There was no tableau and no cultural programmes was presented during the parade.

The parade area was sealed and no public was allowed to watch the parade at the

venue today. As many as 25 platoons of Police were deployed for the smooth celebration

of the function.

Only 14 contingents participated in the parade which was led by Kesinga SDPO

S Sushree, a young IPS officer.
