French authorities order ISP blocking of several illegal IPTV services

Tuesday 26 January 2021 | 17:27 CET | News
Anti-piracy association ALPA said that a recent decision by French authorities will prevent access to eight illegal IPTV services, by enforcing a block on their websites. The ruling will have to be applied by all the country's internet service providers (ISPs), in a move described as the first of its kind in France. The association plans to pursue further cases against similar illegal platforms, in collaboration with national film centre CNC and the country's main broadcasters.
