MTN Ghana gets approval to buy back shares from IPO subscribers who left insufficient details

MTN Ghana says it has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to buy back over 1 million shares from applicants who failed to provide sufficient personal information to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements under its Initial Public Offer. Shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 03 December 2020 passed a motion to let MTN Ghana buy back the stock at the IPO price of GHS 0.75.
