The cold wave intensified in the northern part of India and the temperature in Keylong, Kalpa, and Manali in Himachal Pradesh remained below zero on Monday. The Indian Meteorological Department said that another round of cold wave is going on in Delhi and the temperature is expected to fall to four degrees Celsius and below in the next two to three days.

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of IMD's Regional Forecast Center, said, "The maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to be around 16 degrees Celsius. During this, there will be a dense fog shadow. "

The Meteorological Department said that mercury in Keylong, Kalpa, and Manali in Himachal Pradesh remained below zero. Shimla-based Meteorological Department director Manmohan Singh said the temperature in Lahaul and Spiti was recorded at 13.1 degrees Celsius.

He said that it was minus 3.3 degrees Celsius in Kalpa and minus 1 degree in Manali. Srinagar in Kashmir recorded a temperature of minus 5.2 degrees Celsius.

Kashmir is currently under the grip of 40 days 'Chilly Kalan' and during this period, there is a possibility of snowfall in most places. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Mount Abu in Rajasthan was minus four degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, IMD said that fog will prevail in at least ten districts in Madhya Pradesh on Republic Day. In Punjab and Haryana, minimum temperatures were below normal in most places and Bathinda recorded 0.7 degrees Celsius.
