KIWT 2021: Ward No 16 reach last 8 round of U-15 football

Kangpokpi, January 25 2021: Ward No 16 have book a place in the quarter finals of the the U-15 football competition at the 17th Kanggui Inter Ward Tournament 2021 being underway at Brig M Thomas ground, Kangpokpi.

Ward No 16 managed the last 8 round berth after beating Ward No 17 by 3-2 goals via penalties after a goalless draw during normal time today.

In the main football, Ward No 13 earned an easy 3-1 win over Ward No 10 Thangminchon (9'), Lamgou (30') and Alex (60') scored for Ward No 13 while Mangkho pulled back a goal for Ward No 10 in the 56th minute.

In another main football, Ward No 7 held Ward No 12 to a 1-1 draw.

Satminlal scored for Ward No 12 in the 19th minute and Samu found the equalizer for Ward No 7 in the 39th minute.

In veteran football, Ward No 2 got a walk over as the opponent Ward No 10 failed to turn up for the match.

With the walkover win, Ward No 2 became the winners of Pool B.In another veteran football match, Ward No 3 held Ward No 8 to a goalless draw to finish pool B runners up.

In men's volleyball first quarter final match, Ward No 1 defeated Ward No 12 to enter into the semi-finals while in women's volleyball first quarter final match, Ward No 12-B beat Ward No 8-A to book a semi-final berth.
