State’s COVID tally crosses 53,000-mark

Panaji: The state’s tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases crossed the 53,000-mark with 70 fresh cases of dreaded infections detected on Tuesday.

The COVID death count rose to 763 with one more patient losing the battle against the virus.

Around 62 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

With this new cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stands at 53,047 of which 774 are active while 51,510 patients have defeated the disease. 

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao – 93 cases, Vasco – 29 cases, Panaji – 84 cases and Mapusa – 27 cases.

While active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 10 cases, Bicholim – 8 cases, Pernem – 9 cases, Valpoi – 11 cases, Curchorem – 4 cases and Canacona – 7 cases.

And, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 18 cases, Betki – 14 cases, Candolim – 42 cases, Cansarvanem – 0 cases, Colvale – 12 cases, Corlim – 17 cases, Chimbel – 41 cases, Siolim – 29 cases, Porvorim – 68 cases, Mayem – 12 cases,  Balli – 15 cases, Cansaulim – 21 cases, Chinchinim – 43 cases, Cortalim – 24 cases, Curtorim – 13 cases, Loutolim – 19 cases, Marcaim – 12 cases, Quepem – 16 cases, Sanguem – 6 cases, Shiroda – 8 cases, Dharbandora – 5 cases, Ponda – 42 cases and Navelim – 15 cases.
