New Delhi, Jan 26 (UNI) Union Home Ministry has ordered additional deployment of Central Armed Police Forces such Rapid Action Force of CRPF in the sensitive areas of West Delhi's Nagloi, a source in the security set up said here.
Despite all efforts, the violence has not been stopped in Nangloi area of West Delhi and the additional forces have also been getting deployed. The internet facility in this area has also been temporarily suspended to quell the violence.
Apart from Delhi Police’s security arrangement for the Republic Day event, additional troops of CAPF have also been deployed for the Farmers’ tractor rally on January 26.
Union Home Secretary has briefed the Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the situation in Delhi.
The violence has erupted in many parts of Delhi on Tuesday following a clash between farmers and Delhi Police when some participants of the Tractor rally deviated from the fixed routes and reached up to Central Delhi’s ITO crossing and Lal Qila.
Delhi Police has been taking all steps to normalize the situation in Delhi where many metro stations have been shut. Internet services in some parts of Delhi have been suspended to prevent rumours including Singhu Border, Tikri border, Ghazipur border, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi.
Heavy police deployment has been done in the VVIP areas of the Delhi including Akbar road and Krishna Menon Marg, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah resides.
Meanwhile, after the violence in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana governments have sounded high alert in the two state.
