Coronavirus live updates: India reported 9,102 fresh Covid-19 cases in a day, the lowest in around eight months, as the infection tally reached 10,677,710, according to Union Health Ministry data on Tuesday. During the same period, 117 fatalities were recorded, also the lowest in over eight months, taking the death toll to 153,624. The country continues to be second-most-affected globally, and ranks 13th among worst-hit nations by active cases.

World coronavirus update: Coronavirus cases rise unabated across the globe, with 100 million infected by the deadly contagion. While 72,343,692 have recovered, 2,150,042 have died so far. The US remains the worst-hit country with 25,693,539, followed by India, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom. However, it terms of the total number of active cases, US tops the charts, followed by France, UK, Brazil and Belgium.
