Moreh, January 24 2021: The 24 hours bandh called by different Kuki civil society organisations condemning the 'killing' of Thangminlen Guite at Moreh ended peacefully today, reports our correspondent.

Shops and Moreh Keithel were closed during the bandh hours.

Police also beefed up security measures to prevent any untoward incident.

It is reported that the corpse of Thangminlen Guite was brought to Moreh after post mortem at Imphal.

On the other hand, security forces carried out a search operation at S Moljol village.

Two single barrel guns, 1 Maruti Gypsy, 2 kenbo bikes, one Bajaj Pulsar, one Scooty Ray, one Bajaj Adventure were reportedly seized during the operation.

The security forces also detained a few individuals.

They were released after interrogation.
