MUMBAI: To boost tourism in the state, the tourism department signed several Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) worth about Rs 2,905 crore.
As part of this, hotels, resorts, wellness centers, will be set up across the state. Various tourism facilities like meditation centres, ropeway, swimming pool, spa, health club, boating etc. will be created and these projects will generate 6,754 jobs. The state government has given industry status to the hospitality sector and the number of licenses required for this has been reduced to facilitate ease of doing business.
Apart from this, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between Jeevan Kadam and Saurabh Bhattikar.
These vloggers will be promoting tourism in the state through social media.
