BAN vs WI: Shakib Al Hasan creates history-Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scripted an unique milestone during the third ODI against West Indies on Monday. The 33-year-old became the first and the only cricketer to score 6,000 runs in international cricket and take 300 wickets in a single country.

The former Bangladesh skipper is making his international comeback after serving a one-year ban for not reporting approaches from bookies on multiple occasions.

Ever since his comeback with the ongoing ODI series versus West Indies, the Magura-born cricketer has starred for his team with the bat and ball. Shakib has taken 6 wickets from the starting 2 matches of the series, with the bat he has scored over 80 runs (including the third match going on in Chattogram), the second-most highest in the series.

In his first after the ban, Shakib Al Hasan took 4 wickets after spending just 8 runs in 44 balls. He was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his stellar performance.

In the second match against West Indies, he scalped 2 wickets and scored an unbeaten 43 to help Bangladesh thrash the visitors by 7 wickets. Tamim Iqbal’s side has taken a 2-0 unassailable lead in the series and are now eyeing an whitewash with a win in the third and final match of the series.
