The BSE OIL & GAS Index has plunged 2% to 14,619.
Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today are RELIANCE IND. (down 4.5%), ONGC (down 3.1%) and PETRONET LNG (down 2.5%). Other losers include BPCL (down 2.0%) and HPCL (down 1.8%).
INDRAPRASTHA GAS (up 0.1%) is among the top gainer today.
Over the last one year, the BSE OIL & GAS Index has moved up from 14,554 to 14,619, registering a gain of 65 points (up 0.4%).
The top losers among the BSE OIL & GAS during this same period were ONGC (down 26.7%), OIL INDIA (down 24.6%) and IOC (down 18.2%).
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.3% to 49,263.
Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are AXIS BANK (up 2.8%), HDFC BANK (up 1.5%) and L&T (up 1.4%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINSERV (up 1.3%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.3%).
The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA STEEL and BHARTI AIRTEL.
In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 14,491 (down 0.2%).
