HYDERABAD:
Telangana on Monday recorded 148 new cases of Covid-19 and 1 death. With this the total count of cases so far in the state has touched 2,93,401 while the death toll is 1,590. So far 2,88,577 patients have recovered from the
coronavirus infection.
Meanwhile the number of active cases in the state have reduced to 3,234 currently from over 5,000 over a month back. The case fatality rate (CFR) which is an estimate of the number of deaths as compared to the number of patients getting infected stood at 0.54 percent in the state. The country average CFR currently is 1.4 percent. The recovery rate on the other hand is on a climb and has improved to 98.35 percent in the latest.
On Monday, 19,821 samples were tested across the state for Covid-19. With this the total count of tests conducted so far in the state has crossed 76.8 lakh and Telangana has reached 2,06,404 sample testing per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 35 new cases on Monday. This was followed by 11 cases in Ranga Reddy, 10 cases in
Karimnagar while all the remaining districts in the state recorded less than 10 new cases.
