LAC standoff: India, China to hold 9th round of senior military-level talks today

India will be holding the ninth round of military talks with China on Sunday. This is yet another bid to break the deadlock over tense troop confrontation in eastern Ladakh. India is still maintaining high operational readiness to prevent the Chinese Army from opening new fronts in other areas like Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian delegation will be led by 14 Corps commander Lt-General P G K Menon, and includes a joint secretary from the external affairs ministry.
