Fresh avalanche warning for upper reaches in J&K, Ladakh

Srinagar, Jan 24 (UNI) In view of the fresh snowfall during the past 24 hours, avalanche warning has been issued for upper reaches in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Officials said that Media Danger (MD) avalanche warning has been issued for upper reaches of Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar in Jammu region.
They said similar warning has also been issued for Anantnag, Kulgam in south Kashmir, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora in north and central district of Ganderbal, besides in Kargil in Ladah region.
They said people are advised to restrict their movement in avalanche-prone areas of these districts. However, in case of any emergency, due care should be taken to avoid any accident.
