While addressing a rally in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Accord was inked a year ago and marks beginning of end of insurgency in Northeast”.

The Home Minister said Congress had entered into "several pacts with militants" and reiterated that PM Narendra Modi and the BJP is committed to fulfilling Bodo Accord clauses.

At a rally in Assam's Kokrjhar, he said that political rights, culture and language of all communities of Assam are secure under BJP government.

"Only BJP, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, can make Assam corruption-free, terrorism-free and pollution-free",  Shah said at the rally.

Amit Shah also announced that a fund of Rs 500 crore has been sanctioned to build road network in the Bodo region. He said that the move will take the area on a path of development.
